I started out as a child... growing up in the tide pools of the Pacific coast with my marine biologist mother.
Of course, everything in the tide pools is small and I took an interest in all of the wonders that nature has to offer. Later I became interested in photography and then my brother took me on my first mushroom hunt in Fort Bragg, California. It was a very successful mushroom hunt! From then on I was hooked, and being already interested in the macro and the natural world, started photographing mushrooms. I do most of my hunting in Northern California and the Pacific Coast. I carry my camera everywhere I go. There's a whole world out there waiting to be discovered! |
